#coutryside , An oasis in the Karoo surrounded by mountains and picturesque scenery, infused with silence and old world charm. The manor house was built in 1860 by former president of the ZAR, Jacobus Burgers. A wagon-load of yellowwood from the Knysna forest, at the cost of 250 pounds, was used for the floors and ceilings of this stately Karoo home.
